Attending a film festival is in itself, actively participating in a movie marathon. The 2023 edition of EIFF leveraged fun imagery that blended the world of marathon running and sitting in a theatre watching a marathon of films. To push the campaign even further, EIFF created an award-winning activation in which they became the official cup sponsor of the annual Edmonton Marathon, and volunteered to run multiple hydration stations along the race course. An opportunity never seized prior in the event’s history.
